This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of calculus, including limits, derivatives, integrals, and their applications. Emphasis is placed on understanding the behavior of functions, solving real-world problems, and developing analytical reasoning. Topics covered include the concept of a limit, continuity, differentiation techniques, applications of the derivative (such as optimization and related rates), the definite and indefinite integral, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, and basic integration techniques. Graphical, numerical, and algebraic approaches are used throughout to enhance conceptual understanding.
This course is designed for students pursuing studies in mathematics, science, engineering, economics, or any field that requires a solid foundation in calculus.
Prerequisites: Pre-Calculus or equivalent, including knowledge of functions, trigonometry, and algebra.
